ALLisONE360.org + SacramentoHoopDance.com was originally founded back in 2007. Our new sites are a way to incorporate holistic healing with hoodance, rising out of the ashes of Allisone's previous hooping business experiment, BloomHoops (est. 2007). Allisone is no longer in possesion of the domain BloomHoops.com, which was the Universe's little nudge for her to begin expanding her existing hoodance services to her community and beyond with metaphyiscal hoopdance and meditation classes, hoop jams, performances, healing, energy work, crystals, essences, massage, sound, laughter and play.
The hoop first came into Allisone's life in March 2007 while studying as an undergraduate at UC Santa Cruz. She first trained with Heather Troy of HoopCampRetreats.com in the HoopGirl Level 1 style and was hooked from the first moment she spun her hoop around her body. Today, after the hoop has travelled thousands of revolutions around her, she uses the hoop as a meditation tool, a dance partner, a personal trainer, and a vessel for downloading sacred energy and wisdom into herself.
The summer following her first meeting with the hoop was a whirlwind of spinning and exploring. As a transfer student to UC Davis the following autumn, Allisone felt the urge to share hooping with every new person she met. By an act of universal fate, two amazing ladies named Annie Land and Natasha Young happened to show up at UCD one day when Allisone was hooping, and they encouraged her to take HoopGirl's teacher training certification so that she could spread the hoop love everywhere she went! Soon after in November 2007, Allisone trained with Christabel "HoopGirl" Zamor and Candice Schutter in San Francisco, CA for her Level 1 (Body) HoopGirl certification. She later trained in September 2008 for Level 2 (Mind) HoopGirl and December 2008 for Level 3 (Spirit) HoopGirl. She also graduated from UC Davis in June 2010 with a B.A. in French with a minor in Women's Studies.
Allisone was also trained by in February 2011 by Pamela Crawford and certified through Hoopnotica in Levels 1 (Spark) + 2 (Ignite). She is also AFAA (Aerobic Fitness Association of America) certified and holds current CPR and first aid licences.
For the last 5 years, Allisone has spent countless of happy hours spreading her love of the hoop to thousands of others across northern California and Sacramento. She has shared her hoops at a number of festivals, craft shows, and gatherings in the Sacramento area, including Whole Earth Festival in Davis, CA, the weekly sunday drum circles with the Sacramento Drum + Dance collective, Fairy Tale Town's Winter Wonderland, Alice Birney's Winter Faire, and many more. Allisone loves to share her craft of hoop making and hoopdancing with everyone; please contact her below with any information of festivals that would benefit from hooping!
Currently, Allisone is a 720 hour Holistic Massage Therapist and Energy Worker student at Fair Oaks Massage Institute in Fair Oaks, CA. Her estimated graduation date is August 2012. For the time being, she is currently accepting new clients to receive treatments in their own homes. She is in the process of receiving state certification and she is currently insured by the Associated Massage and Bodywork Practicioners (AMBP).
She is studying to specialize in cupping massage, cranio-sacral work and Reiki. Allisone believes that healing touch is an incredibly powerful tool to be used, understood and respected, and when integrated properly, can have amazing effects on a being's quality of life.
She is always available to chat about the benefits of hooping and holistic healing.
Feel free to email her or call her with any questions or inquiries. :)
